Macy’s 360 Live
The first AR integration for the Macy’s Day Parade

A new spin on an old classic. To invite families across America to experience the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as if they were in person, Verizon streamed the event LIVE in 360º on YouTube placing viewers along the route in NYC, from the comfort of their homes. Within this live broadcast, we superimposed animated characters in 360 augmented reality (a first for the legendary parade) that held hidden offers for those who spotted them.

The experience went on to be the most viewed 360 video of the year on Youtube and sent 30,000 people from their livestream to unlock their hidden offers.
